性格大大咧咧的节子（松隆子 饰）刚刚惨遭男友抛弃， 又被母亲逼着相亲，无奈之下，她只得和相亲对象广濑光太郎（佑介 饰）见了面。相互交换了“绝对不会相亲结婚”的意见，两人的心中都松了一口气，可是缘分是如此的神奇，在之后的日子里，节子和光太郎的命运纠缠在了一起。                                    
                               　　随着时间的推移，在经历了种种波折之后，节子和光太郎之间竟然产生了真挚的感情，没过多久，两人就开始谈婚论嫁，可是就在这个节骨眼上，节子发现了光太郎的软弱和不负责任。节子前男友的出现让动摇了光太郎的自信，为了展现自己的实力，他辞去了稳定的工作，进入了前途未卜的小公司开辟市场，就这样，节子和光太郎分手了。

　　该剧改编自作家罗伯特·麦卡蒙的小说《毒刺》，故事围绕乔治亚州农村的一群人展开，他们必须放下分歧才能在神秘的威胁中生存下来。

　　Deb（布鲁克·奥赛 Brooke D'Orsay 饰）是个艳冠群芳但是学识浅薄的美人，梦想自己有一天能成为超级模特，却在一次严重的交通事故中丧命。在去到天堂后，被天堂守门人Fred（本·费德曼 Ben Feldman 饰）拒之门外，就因为判定她是个性浅薄的中庸者，无法入天堂也无法去地狱。她因为和Fred起争执按动了返回人间的按钮。但是意外再次发生，她居然上错了身。进入Jane（布洛克·艾略特 Brooke Elliott 饰）的身体，一个聪明睿智、很有主见、热爱工作、忠于职守的女律师，唯一的缺点是太胖了。无可奈何的Deb只能在守护天使Fred的帮助下她开始作为Jane生活。没有了美貌的她要如何在人间生活，她又要如何才能找回自己的过去呢？

　　Carla Jimenez 扮演 Alba，Micky姐姐家的管家，跟Micky十分要好。Susan Park饰演Liz。
